I am an official chin owner!

I am proud to announce after having furballs for 2 years, I am an official chin owner.

I have just been sprayed at by Buttercup. my first time I kena. Not very pleasant but I think it is a rite of passage to chinchilla ownership. she sprayed Bumps, and unfortunately I was nearby and splat. Wet and warm. Fortunately, I was not sitting at the floor. If I was, I think I would have been hit on the face.

just sharing.. and Poor Mr Bumps. She's quite a high pressure sprayer.

Yuppery, i got sprayed all over the legs by Chloe too when i tried to pair them for the first time. Luckily nv kena my face...hahaha.....come to think of it. I have had my furballs .....oh for almost three years already...wah time really flies. A day without seeing them makes me feel really uncomfy.

Hahah Mr Bumps kena sprayed at many times? Think part and parcel of pairing and have an alpha female in the cage...my Chloe's definitely the alpha one...cos ern just let her spray...then stand therer and stone...then later realising he's wet, grooms himself.

But it wasn't his fault. She was sticking her nose into the cube and she disturbed his sleep. Then he popped out of the cube looking not very pleased and started to run towards her. She felt threatened, then she spray. The last time it happened, i think her pee reach 2m away! Poor Bumps, always get disturb. Haiz. She's definitely an alpha female. She like to push him off platforms and log house. But he loves her still. Everything she sits on him, he barks and gets up, then he goes towards her for another cuddle. heeee...

i wonder ... when we said chins have long memories, if a female chin were to "provoke" the male chin, does the male chin remember this and mark the female and get his sweet "revenge" in the future?

I guess only time will tell.
