We at Sluis try to look through the eyes and the mouth of these little friendly critters.We looked how the animal feeds itself in nature and into the differences between feeding in nature and at home. In nature, an animals selects in its enviroment different types of feed ingredients from it's enviroment and together they form a nutritious, wholesome diet. They love the varity, and during most of their available time, they are busy looking for the best tasting and healthiest ingredients. In nature, finding the right food is life-saving whilist at home it's the highlight of the day.
Our little friends have one thing in common, in that sometimes they get a bit bored at home. That's why dinner time must be party time! At least that's the way we think about nutrition for our furry friends here at Sluis.

Feeding your friend

Feeding time is not only party time for the child or adult who is feeding their pet with Sluis, but especially party time for your pet. Please read the species-specific feeding instructions on the label. It is important to realise that each individual animal is unique in it's feeding pattern-an easy rule or the thumb is to feed your friend a certain amount, if he leaves some food untouched, you feed a little bit less the next day: if everything is eaten up, increase the amount a little bit. Just like humans, one day you eat more than another day. You can divide the food over 2 portions per day, but if you feed only once a day, then do it early in the evening.

Drinking water

Drinking water must be fresh and within easy reach for your pet. Remember that many small animals will be active during the night, and drink when we are asleep.
