Bird Selling Fraud

Has anyone of you all know of bird selling fraud or being cheated by them?

I recently came across from a friend that there's a guy selling birds in cameroon. Very Cheap... A scarlet macaw for $350 plus a shipping charges of $85. All are in Sing dollars... They would make us transfer the 1st half to them then upon receiving the bird then we can make the full payment.

Let's not be too naive here. This is an unrealistic price. What about bank charges, exchange rates and other costs? In addition, how is $85.00 going to bring your bird into Singapore? Tiger Airways?!?! Hahahah!!!

You think you can import a bird so easily with so many restrictions, licensing and other paperwork too be done? FYI, there are people also selling fertilised eggs too!! Won't that be even cheaper?

We should deal with reputable bird shops or even forummers here. At least you can put a face to the sale and whom you can track down easily.
