Freight cost from Thailand is relatively cheap in comparison with other places. I believe that you do have to contend with some governmental regulations concerning the importation of ornamental fish into the US. (license is require, I believe). YOu may want to find out more at the Customs website since the information will be more readily available there.
If you are interested in finding out the rate, nonetheless, I will be more than happy to oblige. Drop me a line at the rakbamrungthai@yahoo.com and we will get right on it for y'all.

Yes, you need to have an import license in order to bring a live fish into US. Apart from that, you have to bring the fish to the qt facility b4 you bring it home by new law. The vet will do the medical check up in the facility. People w/ import license hate to do the second part since you need to pay some fees (they said it's expensive.)

It is duly noted. Thanks alot for the FYI. Now I have a nice answer to give to all my bros in the States. From my experience, the governmental agencies are a lot more proficient in the US than their counterparts in my neck of the wood. Any how, red tape is always red tape where ever you are in the world y'all.

For Lionchu, I strongly suggest that you look at shops that import fish from China in SG. At Qianhu, i think they will also have some half SV half Lionchu for your consideration as well.
For Thailand, strict Lionchu (old style) is very difficult to find. Most of the breeders have changed to breeding half Lionchu and Sideview Ranchu now.
