Yeap William is right!!
Guinea pigs are very social animals and they like humans touch. I have a few which will come to you when u called their names, 1 which were very shy and will hide in the house when she realised you are looking at her.

oohh... ya, i rem i used to have a couple who are not so shy and will come to me when they see me. but those are quite difficult to cultivate. most are generally very shy.
