great!...
it is also possible that the cockatoo feel that his home is there and the place is also their source of food.

It make me think about my kingfisher. he will come back to my house every evening and will make lots of noice if I didn't give him dinner...

back to your uncle case, I think he love bird very much...mind to share what happen to the bird now? do they back to wild?

Kingfisher? Cool! You mean the blue ones that we commonly see resting by the side of the river bank? Like I say, most of them didn't make their way back during the constuction of HDB flats and he have give up the rest to his friends since he have to move into flats as they are going to tear down his house in around redhill if I am not wrong. Its been almost 20 years and I always wonder if those cockatoos that did not manage to come back are still in redhill area or have they fly to somewhere else. Too bad my granduncle had passed away, if not can still get more info from him on how he manage to get those toos from indonesia and how he manage to tame them from wild...

Yes...the kingfisher...they are not making a good pet, but they do comeback home...

I think if they are from wild, the cockatoo will manage to look for some food on their own...I think those day, import of birds from indonesia is still very easy.
